CHIPSTABLE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING

The Annual Parish Meeting was held on June 4th.

Mr. David Grandfield gave his Chairman’s Report which outlined the past year’s  business . The clerk read the Financial Report which showed the balance of accounts

standing at  £1573  at 31st. March 2008 . The Audit took place on 2nd. June  at

Moore Stephens in Bath.

This meeting closed at 7.50 & was followed by the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council.

1.      Mr. David Grandfield was re – elected Chairman

2.      Mr. John Roberts was re – elected  Vice Chairman

3.      The drains at Shute Hill Waterrow & Trowell , Chipstable were discussed .

4.      Finance – Cheques were signed for the Clerk’s salary , the Hire of the Hall

                       & the annual donation to the Parish Magazine.

5.      Planning --  Conversion of Barns at Severidges & Beer Farm Waterrow were Granted

The Byway 4/14 ( Dulverton Lane )  remains a Restricted Byway  which means that all

Mechanically propelled vehicles are prohibited from using this track .

6.      AOB  --  It was observed that the area of grass around the commemorative seat near           

                     Chipstable Cross was very overgrown  & Mr. Moody offered to cut it.

The next Meeting will be : Wednesday .6th August  2008 at 7.30  in the Community Hall
