THE ANNUAL CHIPSTABLE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING

    was held on 2nd. June  2010.

The Chairman reported  on the past year’s planning applications & the state of the footpaths & bridleways which are in a reasonable condition . The refurbished car park at “ Miltons “ is now in operation & being used by local residents. He paid tribute to Mr.Quick & Mr. Grabham  for repairing the pot holes & clearing the ditches & providing salt & grit around the Parish .He  also expressed thanks to the farmers who cleared snow from the lanes during the winter months.

FINANCE   --   The Precept of £1750 has been received & he mentioned that it was £100 less than last year’s figure. 

The balance of the Current Account at 31st March 2010 was £2526.

The Audit has been set for 2nd. June 2010  in Bath.

 

 

THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL

This meeting followed the Parish meeting on Wed. 2nd June 2010

  1. Mr. David Grandfield was re- elected Chairman
  2. Mr. John Roberts was re- elected Vice Chairman

 

Items discussed were :      A depth of water gauge at Bulland Ford had not been  approved but it was noticed that the “ Flood “ signs were incorrect & will be replaced by markers reading “ Ford “.

Rights of Way  --   Following restructuring measures , there are now 7 Wardens to cover 40 parishes. Mr.  Glen Martin is in charge of  Chipstable among others.

Mr. Fenton agreed to continue as our footpath liaison officer.

Neighbourhood Watch   --  Mr. Roberts reported a theft of a horse box, quad bikes chain saws & locally , farm gates & livestock.

Roads  --   Pot holes & a need for grass cutting on the B3227 /Challick lane would be reported.

Finance  --    Cheques were signed for the Internal Auditor ,  the Parish Magazine, hire of the Hall   & the clerk’s salary.

Planning  --   Plans have been submitted for  Westbrook,  Little Bovey Farm   and   Severidges, all at Waterrow.

  

 Next Meeting :   Wednesday  4th. August  2010    at  7.30 p.m. at the Community Hal
